Hmm, thinking about all our visualizations of Holmes, life is 100% more sanitary and pleasant than what was actually happening in Conan Doyle's time.

The 2009 movie did show more filth than most.

Okay! I've got to get my hands on source and kick back and be transported (I hope that I can get over the "short Sherlock" reflex.)
