Three reddish-brown oak leaves, backs dotted with dew, rest near my front door. One balances at the edge of the black rubber door sill ramp, while the others splay on cool grey concrete, near the grey-green siding. Evokes, I hope, Mondrian.

They're hidden now, because of course we had our first snow fall--excuse me, "wintry mix." How's the weather by you?

Snowy here- the first fall came early this year.

Serious rain for the first time in two months. Leaves in my yard have been complained about (again) by one of my (anonymous) neighbors and I have to "maintain my property" within five days, or else. I wish I could move my house away from these people who want the neighborhood lawns to all look alike.

First snow of the season was overnight; nearly all gone by the time I got up this morning. It's been freezing or near it for days, but supposed to warm up this weekend (starting with rain, unfortunately).

We got a thin layer of snow and then it all melted in the sun the next day. But the cold temps are now here to stay, I think...

Oak leaves are so beautiful. Maples are lovely but there's just something about an oak. We're supposed to get our first snow this weekend but so far just a mildly chilly wintry mix as well.
