By road and by foot to Tuktoyaktuk

I've always enjoyed winter weather, and that's one of the reasons I was drawn to Due South. Canonically, Fraser grew up in Tuktoyaktuk, the "End of the Road" coastal hamlet on the Beaufort Sea.

I encountered Tuk again today in Nadim Roberts' heartbreaking essay from GRANTA. They've built a hard road highway from Inuvik to Tuk; the article is about why Tuk residents call it "Bernard's Highway."
