Five Answers to
sonia's Shower Meme Questions
Thanks to sonia who provided these questions back when it was warm and sunny, and has waited patiently:
What’s the latest training goal with Bella?
I’m still working on the “whenever we’re at a door, Bella’s job is to sit and wait for permission to go through.” It’s happening 90% of the time, and the last 10% requires 90% of the effort.
A recent accessibility victory or pleasant surprise?
When I went to my DBT group therapy this morning and they’d moved a table and some furniture so that I have room to get in and people can walk behind me.
Anything you care to share about your relationship with MyGuy? I’m interested in the joys & successes of longterm relationships.
I make time to pay attention to things that he’s keen about. Sometimes these topics aren’t what I’d explore on my own, and even so, it’s lovely to share in his enthusiasm. Before we were both retired, I would have tended to focus on something that interests me more. Now I realize that I will never learn all the things. Breathing together with happiness is worth savoring.
What book would you write to go with that amazing cover?
“Dog Parks of the Midwest”
And, turnabout, what would you show me if I came to visit?
If it was winter, we’d take a walk on the lake, because it’s an all-senses adventure.
If the lakes weren’t frozen, we’d go to the Thai Pavilion and Sala in Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

It’s beautiful, and it’s kindness made visible: Thai alumni thanking the city for welcoming them.
We’d also visit a bunch of lovely restaurants, and I’m sure we could find at least two that would meet your needs and your wants.
I’d arrange a bicycle so you could explore some of our many lovely paths and bridges.

I hadn't thought of the 90/10 rule as applying to dog training, but it makes sense. I wonder what's distracting Bella in those cases. I bet she'd enjoy helping you research that book. Yay for accessible furniture rearranging! Mmmm, breathing together with happiness... Your proposed visit adventures sound lovely!
