A Woman Walks Into a Rape, Uh, Bar

Yeah, people make jokes about rape. I loathe it, and I usually freeze in fury when I hear them. Happily, Harriet Jacobs (her nom du net) knows exactly what to say.

She drags out every frustrating argument and defensive bafflegab I've ever heard, and demolishes them. Beautifully, eloquently, instructively. Her fierceness makes me glow.

I'm back

...to "down below," as one Rhinelander put it.

Good news: very few bug bites; no sun burn. But why? cloudy, windy, cold. Huh.

Only swam twice (but one of those times I was freely backstroking underneath a soaring eagle).

Major thanks to fullygoldy's loan of the entire West Wing on DVD. When that show was good, it was very very good. And when it was bad, my fangirls have taught me well how to mock & meta it.
