I actually really did think you were trying to tally, say, POCs going to WisCon or something & I was a little perturbed by the chocolate/mango sorbet/etc. thing... & then I got it. Doh!!

(Given current trends, I'd say WisConGoers tend towards dark, if it's chocolate.)

No worries--I agree w/sasha_feather... I think the "you're" as sorta slang-y for "I like/prefer" confused me, & b/c I know you I was pretty sure that you weren't doing a weird dodgy race thing, despite my first puzzled reaction.

I do appreciate your vote of confidence!

But if the meaning is ambiguous unless the reader knows a little about me, then it makes sense to change it.

Besides, I already ordered the case of chocolate bards. (Oh I wish they made super-dark 73% chocolate kisses!)

I think you could just change the title of your post, "what kind of chocolate do you like?" and it would be clear. The confusing language, IMO, is that you say "you're" (meaning identity) versus "do you like/prefer." Also, I'm curious why you are asking! Will you be carrying chocolate around in your bag of tricks? :)

This! This is what I was saying about cons. They're dangerous, Jesse. Don't say I didn't warn you. It starts with misinterpreted polls about chocolate and mango sorbet. It ends with me sobbing hysterically on Zabira about how I've probably offended everyone through my social ineptitude. Except, you know, that I won't be at this con.

Edy's Mango Sorbet is damn tasty, remarkably smooth, and I think you could actually eat it. I've been pimped into SGA by some of my local fangirls (it's risky when one's porn purveyors live in the same ZIP code) and so I was pointedly not doing lemon sorbet out of deference to Rodney McKay.

We have a Quiet Place and everything!
