1. You've been given charge of a machine shop, a squadron of mechanical engineers, craftspeople, and supplies for a year. What products do you want them to make?
The Roofminder™ would actually do two things which many gimcracks claim but fail:
a. Clear soggy compacted leaves from gutters (eavestroughs)
b. Sweep snow from the bottom two feet to prevent ice dam formation.
(Ah, the unrequited passions of a Wisconsin homeowner!)
2. What do you think fandom will be like in twenty years?
Still enthusiastic, more fragmented in regard to specific interests, less political.
3. What's your favorite iPod touch app?
TIE. I use RSS Runner for a couple hours daily. I'm most excited by Proloquo2go, which creates functional speech output for a fraction of the previous cost.
4. I miss Wisconsin winters. Should I seek help, or get someone to mail me some snow?
Enlist help; I've just expressed you a pair of old chest freezers we'd been using to heat the backyard.
5. Are you going to take up vidding? What shows/films would you want to work with first?
I lack the patience for vidding, but I would love to watch vids from Hayao Miyazaki's works.
