A smooth toenail is an awesome thing.

To my surprise, complete nail regrowth on my big toe takes 10 years, 9 months, and 2 days. It was deeply injured by trauma (but at angle which preserved the whole nail). I snipped off the last curvy white twisted bit this morning.

I searched for the post where I told the traumatic tale in a pithy 1200 words, and couldn't find it.

Then I realized it was before I started journaling.
