Why Is So Much Entertainment Based on Violence & Despair?

But we have to reserve the remaining six episodes for further movie nights, so we scanned for something new to watch.
Young strivers in L.A. just didn’t make us laugh.
Hit man becomes an actor? Conceptually possible, but episode one has buckets of blood.
Emma Thompson & Russell Tovey & near-future SF seemed appealing. It was instead terrifying and gripping — we should have stopped after the first ten minutes, but unfortunately watched past the first nuclear bomb explosion.
So, I didn’t do much sleeping last night.
Time to visit a graveyard, I think, as they’re relaxing.
Any recommendations for HBO shows that aren’t bloody and terrifying?
