My fandom trajectory has been fortunate because resonant has written outstanding stories in all of them, and many more. As of this writing she's got 149 works on the AO3

and (being an old-timer) she also maintains her own site:

The hot news, though, is that she's the author of a wonderful erotic SF novel. EXOG is an original and delightful story of cross-species passion at a galactic university. As the blurb puts it:
Exog. That's what students called it when you had sex outside your species. There was another word back home, a crueler one, a mob-howl of a word. Planetsiders weren't so tolerant.
Fin comes from an Earth where nearly everything is permitted—as long as it only happens between humans. Chrt’s people value reproduction above everything, and a non-fertile relationship breaks all the rules. What begins with curiosity will carry them to the limits of their conditioning. Is desire stronger than culture? Is love?
EXOG by Peale McDaniel is available at Evernight Publishing. It's less than a latte to enjoy instant gratification in any e-format you choose.

Our lovers are roommates, of course. Here they're getting to know each other better:
“Chrt?” he asked when he got back to the room.
Chrt didn’t look up from its handheld, but its ears lifted to focus on Fin, and the peacock-feather things rose up and focused on him too. It was kind of like watching from the outside as a jumpship set up all its targeting equipment.
“Are you male or female?”
Now Chrt did look up, and its ears went front and back and front again. Its lipless mouth and wide gray-brown eyes weren’t very expressive, but Fin thought eventually he’d be able to interpret the position of its ears and all the other things that moved. “Rpt told me the chu-mans would all want to know my reproductive role even if they had no interest in mating with me. You’re weird, chu-mans.”
