I started reading this via audio, narrated by the author. Technically excellent; both writing and reading. The subject matter, however, has given me thrashing screaming nightmares.

Contains: shame, sexual violence, shame, internalized misogyny, eating disorder, shame.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to finish it.

Oh dear. :/ Yeah, I once tried reading a self-care book my best friend gave me, and I...couldn't. Yet.

I agree. Nothing is worth thrashing, screaming nightmares.

Someone else in a different place can read it; you don't have to.

Yikes, yeahno. Life it too short to finish ALL THE BOOKS for so many reasons, including nightmares.

What they said! There are many books I want to read, several of which I've already got (but here I am on the internet instead); I might add things to the list because they're ~important~ in some way, but if they were doing that to me, no!
