jesse_the_kI just ran into some exceptionally helpful video by Gary Rosenzweig -- turns out his Macmost site has more than 1500 "how to" videos. They're friendly, step-by-step, and his narration is soothing. They're not captioned, but Gary's voice may have been one of the Google "auto caption" AI trainers, because they do an excellent job.

In addition to the videos, Macmost offers a Q&A forum, news & rumors about Apple, and NO ADS.
Many of the quick tutorials would be great for someone just starting out. I like to think of myself as a power user, and I learned a very nifty tip: creating PDFs in any iOS app that supports the share sheet.
Since I'm all about the written word, here's a summary.
Creating PDFs on iOS 10 and 11
1. Invoke the share sheet (that's the box with the arrow pointing up).
2. Select "print"
3. Wait. It takes a while, but iOS displays a page-by-page PDF of your current document.
4. Tap on the page you want to capture.
5. Spread your fingers apart (pinch out)
6. You're transported to the "preview" view of the PDF. This view has its own share sheet: you can now share the PDF with mail, Twitter, save to Dropbox or whatever other actions you have. Hit the upper left Done button to escape this view.
