Date: 2017-11-18 06:50 pm (UTC)My small town is in the process of installing sidewalks on all the streets, but until they finish, we're left with nothing but odd situations. My street has sidewalks on 1 side only. The parallel major street 4 blocks away, from which one can reach the library and the grocery store, has sidewalks on both sides. None of the cross-streets between them have sidewalks at all. It'll be great once they get all the sidewalks in, but that's going to be a long time - it's been 7 years since we moved into our house and all the sidewalk construction during that time has been outside of our neighborhood.
