help a reader "subscribe by email" to my DW (without an account)

I know that Feedburner offers a service to do this, but that means giving my subscriber email away.
Is there a way to do this using only my own stuff?
I could get a person's email in a screened comment.
Then add it to a private email list.
And then maybe have the RSS feed somehow trigger sending an email?
Oh wise techies, can you put the pieces together?
Happy to pay for expertise.

Date: 2018-04-16 10:55 pm (UTC)Are you trying to send this notification to multiple people who've requested it from you, or just facilitate other people setting it up for themselves? Either is doable, it just affects how the applet gets set up.

2) Set up a filter in gmail to forward messages from that feed to your designated recipient automatically.
