Seeking iOS Calendar with Free Form Notes
Thursday, February 27th, 2014 07:19 pmI'm having a wonderful time with my new iPad mini, which accompanies me everywhere like an imprinting duckling.
One thing I lack is a calendar app that works for my life. I have at most four timed events a day, and then I make a few notes on thoughts and plans. I never thought of these as different needs: when I began using paper datebooks, I'd scrawl appointments in the time grid and notes in the empty boxes at the bottom. But almost none* of the twelve iOS calendars I've tried support both timed and untimed data.
It seems corporate-level PIMs offer this feature, but it's me and mine and that's all.
* Well, I found one, but the app is optimized for an iPhone screen, so the fonts are huge (ok) but room to enter text is not. (In case you're also looking, it's Life Noted. Naturally, it's made by Exaclair, (the folks behind the beautifully made Rhoda and Clairefontaine paper notebooks; they see the writing on the wall, so to speak).
