I miss the NLS, they used to send me books on cassette when I was a kid. :)

Oh, definitely! I have a public library about a minute's walk away from me. And they do have audiobooks (a kind of limited selection, but I can easily get anything from any Manchester library branch; there are many). And yes the RNIB does do a similar thing.

Wow. This is cool.

I wonder if my mom is doing audio books at all. If she wears her headphones, her hearing impairment doesn't come into play, and she does not have to constantly hold the e-reader as when she reads.

I'll be checking this out.
