What’s your favorite Whedonverse show?

Hmmm. I think Angel–I like the always present evil lurking in him, and seeing a “hunky” guy suffer was pleasing.

What are the best and worst things about WisCon being your local con?

Worst: the continual temptation to rejoin the comcon. When I see those good people around town, I regret not working with them. Best a (internal): if things get too much I can always take bus home. Best b (external): I sometimes get a chance to cook for my electric friends.

What’s so cool about blue heelers?

They are so damn smart. They deign to love–they’re almost feline in their unwillingness to submit. Aesthetically, the combination of white and black fur which defines the “blue” in heelers is super pretty. Their ears are as expressive as their eyes.

What one feature that doesn’t exist now do you most wish wheelchair manufacturers would develop?

A lightweight battery pack for standard chairs. Almost half of my current chair’s 260lb weight is the pair of deep-cycle marine group 24 batteries–and the chair frame has to be heavy just to carry them. Electric cars are helping to improve batteries, and in addition there are folks working on propane and compressed-air power systems for chairs.
