Thanks to angelictroublemaker for linking me to this video: a baby seal hesitating about slipping into the frozen ocean, and making "cry baby" noises about it. That's wonderful enough, but the captions are hysterical.
I loved this! After watching it a couple of times, I noticed my cat sometimes makes similar noises (unrelated to dipping his nose in ice water) and I've been spontaneously visualizing subtitles for him.
I was disappointed that the seal never goes in the water, since the title is "... Learns to Swim." I watched the original unsubtitled video, and it goes on a bit longer. Worth watching! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L7VJl76i9U
Now that I've seen the context for it, the video looks different. I'd be yelling too if I were on my own to get food while lying on ice with icy water in front of me. Poor thing was probably really hungry!

captures the weirdly liminal world of a seal. It's amazing that they can survive in the freezing ocean and in the freezing desert above. I love how tightly their noses squeeze together.
