Adobe figured out how to market to The Youth: deploy that ubiquitous generic word that is actually their trademarked brand and make it into a free camera.
Photoshop Camera app for iOS and Android
The business model is selling storage on Creative Cloud, and since you’re here anyway, can we interest you in every possible graphic design tool?
Built-in "AI" filters optimize portraits, selfies, landscapes, and food. Also pop art, Billie Eilish Blōhsh, celestial skies, Pride spectra and many many more. Totally Instagram-ready.
I used Photoshop 1.0 when I worked at a desktop publishing service bureau in 1990. That was fully thirty years ago which breaks my brain.
As this selfie shows, the Photoshop Camera filters rewind me to 2000, showing a lightly-wrinkled white woman wearing a coral hoodie, thick glasses, and COVID-copious randomly-curling short pepper-and-salt brown hair.
My hair is a big shift, as I’ve been barbering sleekly short since age 23. What do you think of the longer look?

Date: 2020-06-19 09:26 pm (UTC)The downside is my winter hats are all sized for close-cut me. The upside -- not winter now!

Date: 2020-06-18 08:46 pm (UTC)You can always cut it short again; for that matter, if you do, you can always let it grow out.

Date: 2020-06-19 09:29 pm (UTC)There's that dreadful intermediate state when it's too long to sit on my head right and I feel like I've just put my finger in a wall socket. The recent enforced no-haircut let me see what my hair was capable of.

Date: 2020-06-19 03:50 pm (UTC)My hair is quite similar to yours (loose curls all over), and I always keep it cut very short because I don't like the feeling of lots of hair on my head. But right now it's still safer not to go get it cut, so I am just living with it, and it looks fine, I think! But oh, it feels too heavy on my head. I don't know how people with super-long hair can live with it, but apparently it doesn't bother them.
Thanks
Date: 2020-06-19 09:32 pm (UTC)When I cut it off, I lost three pounds. My head floated around for a while.
...wait ... my neck pain has increased recently -- maybe the hair is one reason why?

Date: 2020-06-20 04:06 pm (UTC)However I am currently coping with a similar but slightly longer Covid19 style, and while I can acknowledge that it’s “cute” I really dislike having hair over my ears. If it were possible for me to cut evenly around my own ears it would be significantly shorter. (I’ve tried it many times in the past and it never goes well.)
That said, if you don’t have tactile issues with longer hair it seems a good chance to explore more length. This also gives you the pleasure of a more dramatic alteration whenever you do get it cut! It can be kinda fun to experience the shift in losing several inches.

Date: 2020-06-30 03:39 pm (UTC)My mom, whose hair looked a lot like this (I wonder why?) used to cut her own with a nail scissor. Every day she'd snip a little here and there. She reserved her dramatic shifts for her interactions with her children. :p
